Brake Parachute for Jaguar

• The brake parachute is used to reduce the landing run of the aircraft.The parachute is stowed directly into a metal container with the parachute connecting link protruding at hte aft end.The main parachute is held in position in the removable container by a pair of locking straps and the auxillary parachute is stowed in a small pack which is attached to one of the straps. The brake parachute system is designed to operate normally at streaming of upto 150 knots,but can be operated at a speed upto 180 knots in an emergency.the present life is 40 streams.
