Anti personnel. It can be used in plain field as well as mountainous region, since it can fire in the elevation range-5degree to 75degree.

The shell is fired from 75/24 Howitzer Gun.The shell explodes when D.A.Percn. Fuze assembled on its nose function on impact. The detonator in the fuze detonates the H.E. filling in the Shell.

Since the Gun and Ammunition are designed for both types of region i.e. Plain and Hilly, it is suitably packed for easy transportation and loading. It has a long shelf life.

The shelf life of the filled ammunition is 15 to 20 years.

PACKING

Consists of inner and outer packages.Inner package is L.P. Container to provide snug packing and outer is steel box One box accommodates two shells in two containers.
